
The East Row Garden Club meets every third Tuesday of the month at The Sanctuary, Sixth and Monroe streets, in Newport
(unless otherwise noted below). If you are not already a member,
ask about joining when you come - we are a welcoming bunch!
Most meetings are set up as follows:

Topic: Wildlife Habitat Restoration - The Comte's spent three years
rehabbing their property by installing 8+ acres of wildflowers, a vernal pond,
and planting 1500 native trees. Come to this meeting to learn more about
the process and walk through the wildflowers! Car pooling is advisable.

Paul Koloszar on "Putting Your Garden to Bed"
Paul, a Civic Garden Center horticulturist, spoke on "Putting your Garden to Bed." It was informative and did a great job or presenting both sides of the issue for such topics as pruning, removing, protecting our plants, trees and shrubs. Afterward, for those interested, he gave a demonstration on sharpening pruners and cleaning tools.
