Planting Perennial Gardens with Pollinator Diversity in Mind

Speaker: Bennett Dowling

Planting Perennial Gardens with Pollinator Diversity in Mind’

When designing a perennial garden, it is essential to have a diversity of flowers blooming throughout the entire growing season.  Different flower shapes cater to the different abilities of countless pollinators.

Bennett O. Dowling is the horticulturist at the Civic Garden Center of Greater Cincinnati.  He has degrees in Horticulture and Urban Planning with a minor in Landscape Architecture.  He is also a bi-monthly regional reporter for Ohio Gardener Magazine.
